Joseph McFarland Earns Doctor of Arts

We remember and celebrate the academic contributions of Joseph S. McFarland Jr., who earned a Doctor of Arts. The award was granted posthumously. In partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Doctor of Arts program, Dr. McFarland submitted a Capstone, “Legacies of Love and Will,” a book of general nonfiction essays comparing the Great Ideas of Love and Will as they were originally presented by classical authors and later presented by 20th-century authors in the humanistic psychology movement.
